A 9/11 National Service Day event will be held Sept. 7 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the St. Paul Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall, 401 West 7th St. Activities include a food drive and repurposing old T-shirts into reusable bags to benefit Shepherd’s Heart Food Pantry.
Event officials ask for T-shirt and food donations. Canned and dried foods can be brought to the Shepherd’s Heart truck located at the St. Paul House parking lot. Volunteers can sign up at bit. ly/911ServiceDay24.
