The Taylor Ducks varsity volleyball team will host the Troy Trojans on Friday, Sept. 6. The Ducks have struggled early in the 2024 season, posting a 2-17 record. This matchup presents an opportunity for Taylor to turn things around. The Trojans, meanwhile, hold an 8-10 record.
The last time these two teams met was in 2022 when the Ducks narrowly lost to Troy in a five-set thriller. To reverse that outcome, Taylor will need to bring their best performance.
The Ducks are led by senior middle hitter Haley Harms, who tops the team with 83 kills this season. Other key players include sophomore Tiana Candee with 43 kills and junior setter Peyton Wamble with 35 kills.
For the Trojans, junior outside hitter Skylar Workman leads with 62 kills. Additional players to watch include senior hitter Kaleigh Welch, who has 57 kills, and sophomore middle hitter Madilynn Strait, who has 38 kills this season.
The match will take place at the Taylor High School gym at 4:30 p.m.
