TAYLOR POLICE DEPARTMENT ARREST REPORT

It is important to note that an arrest should not be considered as evidence of guilt. The defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

AUG. 26

A 37-year-old Taylor man was arrested at 6:20 p.m. in the 300 block of East Eighth Street after officers responded to a report of individuals inside the vacant residence without permission.

Officers apprehended the man, who had two outstanding warrants from Williamson County charging him with two counts of bond forfeiture-unlawful possession of firearm by a felon, a state-jail felony. The man was also found to be in possession of suspected methamphetamine and was further charged with possession of a controlled substance, less than 1 gram, a state-jail felony. He initially provided officers with a false name and was charged with failure to identify as a fugitive, a Class A misdemeanor.

AUG. 27

Officers took a 41-year-old Taylor man into custody at 8:06 p.m. in the 200 block of West Oak Street. He had an outstanding warrant out of Taylor for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, a second-degree felony.

AUG. 30

Officers arriving to investigate reports of a man throwing rocks at 2:02 a.m. in the 100 block of East Oak Street ended up handcuffing a 24-year-old Taylor resident. An investigation revealed the person had a prior criminal trespass warning against him, banning him from the property.

He was placed under arrest and charged with criminal trespass, a Class B misdemeanor.

A disturbance at an icehouse at 9:06 p.m. in the 1300 block of West Second Street led officers to a 41-year-old Taylor man after both parties left the scene. An investigation revealed the man physically assaulted a family member while at the business. He was located and charged with assault with injury/ family violence, a Class A misdemeanor.

SEPT. 1

A 43-year-old man taken into custody at 11:32 p.m. in the 200 block of Branch Street had an outstanding warrant out of Travis County for motion to revoke bond-driving while intoxicated third or more, a state-jail felony.
