New Judge for 480th district court appointed by governor

Terence Davis was appointed to the 480th Judicial District Court in Williamson County by Governor Greg Abbott on Sept. 3, according to a news release.

Davis, replacing Judge Scott K. Field, will serve as judge for a term that will expire on Dec. 31, 2024 or until a successor is elected, according to the release.

Davis is an attorney and owner of the Davis Law Firm, P.C. in Leander. He practices family law and is board certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, according to the release.

“He is a member of the State Bar of Texas and it’s Family Law Section; member, former president and former board member of the Williamson County Bar Association; founding member of the Williamson County American Inn of Court; and co-founder of the Christian Legal Society of Williamson County,” the news release said. “Additionally, he is a board member of Journey Bible Fellowship Church and former president and former board member of the Block House Municipal Utility District.”

Davis earned a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Southwest Texas State University — now Texas State University. He also attended St. Mary’s University School of Law, where he earned a Juris Doctor.
