The Thrall Tigers varsity volleyball team faced a tough challenge on Thursday, August 29th, falling to Gateway College Preparatory in straight sets, 2-0.
Despite the loss, the Tigers showed grit throughout the match. They narrowly lost the first set 22-25 but struggled in the second, finishing with a 17-25 score.
Senior Outside Hitter Amber Kevil was the standout performer for Thrall, leading the team with 14 kills and contributing 27 receptions. Junior setter Kinley Hoffman and

Senior setter Emily Holybee also made significant impacts, with Hoffman recording 32 digs and Holybee providing 27 assists.
This loss drops Thrall’s overall record to 10-5 as they turn their focus to district play, where the competition is expected to
intensify.
