TAYLOR POLICE DEPARTMENT ARREST REPORT

It is important to note that an arrest should not be considered as evidence of guilt. The defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

AUG. 12

A 35-year-old Taylor man stopped by officers at 3:01 p.m. in the 1800 block of North Main Street was charged with driving while license suspended with previous convictions, a Class B misdemeanor.

A 34-year-old Taylor man with an outstanding warrant out of Williamson County charging him with unauthorized use of a vehicle was arrested at 1:46 a.m. in the 700 block of North Main Street. The charge is a state jail felony.

AUG. 13

An outstanding warrant out of Taylor for graffiti over $100, a Class B misdemeanor, landed a 23-year-old Taylor resident behind bars after he was picked up at 12:35 p.m. in the 400 block of East Mustang Street.

AUG. 14

Officers responding to a report of a disturbance at 3:56 a.m. in the 600 block of East Martin Luther King Boulevard charged a 32-year-old Taylor man with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, a second- degree felony, after he was accused of threatening another person with a knife.

Officers took into custody a 17-year-old Taylor man who had an outstanding warrant out of Taylor for assault with injury, a Class A misdemeanor. The apprehension took place at 3:02 p.m. at Taylor High School, 355 FM 973.

AUG. 16

Officers paid a visit to the Williamson County Jail to serve an outstanding warrant out of Taylor for criminal mischief over $100, a Class A misdemeanor, to 24-year-old Taylor man behind bars on an unrelated charge.

AUG. 17

An encounter with police at 3:05 a.m. in the 500 block of Porter Street led to a 17-yearold Taylor resident’s arrest on a charge of possession of a controlled substance under 1 gram, a state jail felony. Officers said the man possessed suspected methamphetamine.

A traffic stop at 9:53 a.m. in the 100 block of West Eighth Street led to a 29-year-old Taylor man’s incarceration on a charge of theft of a firearm, a state jail felony. Police said he possessed a stolen weapon.
