The Texas Music Office is getting its programs ready for Fiscal Year 2024 this month.
Texas 501(c)(3) nonprofits interested in the Music Education & Community Program grant have until 5 p.m. Aug. 31 to submit applications.
Independent Texas music venues and festival promoters can look forward to the Texas Music Incubator Rebate Program applications opening at 9 a.m. Sept. 1.
The program provides a full or partial rebate of the mixed-beverage gross-receipts taxes or sales taxes attributed to purchases of beer and wine in the prior fiscal year.
Last month, two TMO events saw involvement from Gov. Greg Abbott.
Broadcast Music Inc. presented Abbott with a celebratory guitar in honor of the company’s fifth-year anniversary of its first expansion office in Texas.
In honor of the second annual Cindy Walker Days celebration, a proclamation from Abbott was read by TMO Community and Outreach Specialist Gini Mascorro in Mexia.
