AUG. 7
A 42-year-old Taylor man stopped at 11:26 p.m. in the 13300 block of Chandler Road was charged with driving while intoxicated, a Class B misdemeanor.
AUG. 8
A 47-year-old Taylor man landed behind bars after officers responded to a report of a disturbance at 1:12 p.m. in the 400 block of North Main Street. As officers were attempting to investigate, the man evaded police on foot. He was taken into custody and charged with evading arrest on foot with previous convictions, a state jail felony.
A 21-year-old Taylor resident was taken into custody by police at 6:30 p.m. in the 1400 block of Cecelia Street. He had an outstanding warrant out of Taylor for assault with injury/ family violence, a Class A misdemeanor.
AUG. 9
At 2:57 p.m. in the 100 block of West Tenth St., officers arrested a 55-year-old Taylor man wanted on an outstanding warrant out of the Austin office of the Texas Pardons and Paroles Board for parole violation-burglary of habitation-enhanced, a thirddegree felony. The man also was found in possession of suspected methamphetamine, and he physically resisted officers during their attempt to place him in custody. He was further charged with possession of a controlled substance over 1 gram, a thirddegree felony, as well as resisting arrest, a Class A misdemeanor.
