Search leads to Hutto man’s indecency arrest

HUTTO – A 35-yearold man sought by officers since 2023 is now in the Williamson County Jail charged with two counts of indecency with a child by exposure.

Hutto resident Jackie Cardell Selby Jr. recently was taken into custody by federal marshals with the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force.

Hutto police aided in the probe, officials said Friday.

Police said the incident under investigation occurred in February 2023 when officers responded to a call in the 300 block of Arnage Drive to investigate reports a man masturbated in front of a minor.

An arrest warrant was issued about a year later, on Feb. 14, investigators said.

Hutto police requested help from the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force to locate the suspect, who was believed to be in the Austin area.

On July 30, law officers arrested a man hiding behind a storage shed at an address in Round Rock. According to officials, the man had been arrested by the task force in 2022 on a family- violence charge, and currently has an outstanding warrant from Travis County on a bond forfeiture from another sex-offense charge involving a minor.
