Keep the kindness coming

GOOD NEWS

“This past Sunday, we had a family dinner/ early birthday celebration for my husband at El Corral. I believe Merly was the young lady that took care of us — that’s the only name I see on the receipt. I believe we had 13 at our table. Merly was great with taking our orders over all the different conversations.

She was most attentive to any request we had, and she was very kind to my husband. We’ve been long time customers at El Corral and I am fairly certain Merly has been there just as long.

She’s always been great at her job. Just wanted to thank Merly (I hope that’s the right name) for taking such great care of us.”

“This week at Starbucks is our week of kindness. We spent the day going around donating coffee and dropping off some notes to just a few of the people who make a difference in our community. We visited at some fire stations, police department, EMS, libraries and volunteered for a little bit at the animal shelter — really just played with some cats. Also went to the emergency room and thanked them again for taking care of me last week when I broke my leg. But I wanted to take a moment and just say thank you again to everyone who helps out taking care of the community. We see the hard work and dedication everyone puts in and we truly appreciate everyone who comes together to take care of this community. Hope everyone is having a wonderful week.

“The Taylor Public Library outdid themselves again. Today’s special program featured a child’s version of radio drama, complete with sound effects and applause signs and audience participation. Hats off to Miss Lucy, the library and their staff, the Friends of the Public Library and their volunteers and, of course, Karen Ellis. What a blessing for our little people.”

— Ann Miller “I just wanted to say thank you to this community who has helped me so much. My son turns 13 years old tomorrow, and I was able to get him a cell phone and some other little things for his birthday.” — Courtney Rojas
