Phillips joins economic roundtable

Phillips joins economic roundtable

Diana Phillips, president of the Greater Taylor Foundation, has been invited to join the Asset Funders of Central Texas Economic Mobility Roundtable Series.

This prestigious initiative brings together 25 community- based organizations, policymakers and funders to address critical issues related to economic mobility.

The Roundtable’s primary objectives are understanding household economic and financial health data trends, core principles for policy and program design and dissemination of insights.

“This collaborative effort is crucial for advancing economic equity and empowering our community,” Phillips said about joining the Roundtable.

“By working together, we can create lasting change. The outcome of the Roundtable will help guide our work of our Impact Taylor Initiative of the Greater Taylor Foundation addressing needs and ensuring that no one is left behind with the changes and the growth that is occurring.”

Understanding household economic and financial health data and trends

Participants will analyze data to gain insights into the economic challenges faced by families and individuals in Central Texas. By identifying trends and disparities, the Roundtable aims to inform evidence-based solutions.

Core principles for policy and program design

Community-based organizations and partners will share their expertise, identifying essential principles for effective policy and program design. These principles will guide efforts to enhance economic mobility across the region.

Dissemination of insights

The Roundtable will synthesize its findings from a two-part series into actionable recommendations. In November, a written report and in-person briefing will be shared with funders, policymakers and other leaders in Central Texas.
