TAYLOR POLICE DEPARTMENT ARREST REPORT

It is important to note that an arrest should not be considered as evidence of guilt. The defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

JULY 16

Dayton Englert, 24, of Taylor at 5:27 p.m., officer learned that Englert had been arrested by another agency for four class C misdemeanor warrants out of Taylor: two counts of having no front license plate and two counts of an invalid license.

JULY 18

Angel Higginbotham, 24, of Taylor, at 2:27 p.m., in the 200 block of W.

Twelfth St., officers responded to a report of a disturbance. An investigation revealed Higginbotham physically assaulted a member of the household, causing injury and was placed under arrest and charged with assault with injury/family violence, a class A misdemeanor.

JULY 19

Gilbert Lerma, 53, of Taylor, at 12:04 p.m., in the 100 block of E. Tenth St., officers apprehended Lerma, who had an outstanding warrant out of Taylor for theft of property, a state jail felony.

JULY 21

Francisco Sanchez-Torres, 47, of Taylor, at 2:14 p.m., in the 3100 block of N. Main St., officers responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in which one of the drivers left the scene. Officers located Sanchez walking away from the crash.

Sanchez initially denied being involved but was later placed under arrest and charged with fleeing the scene of an accident, a class B misdemeanor.
