City welcomes new officers

The Taylor Police Department welcomed

officers Alexis Villalobos and Franklin Quattlebaum with a swearing-in ceremony at the Taylor Public Library Thursday. Both officers graduated from the Central Texas College Police Academy July 5.

Villalobos was honored as the valedictorian of the class, graduating with the top academic score out of 23 students. The ceremony was conducted by Chief Henry Fluck, and who administered the official swearing-in. The ceremony was attended by Mayor Dwayne Ariola, Councilman Robert Garcia, Councilwoman Shelli Cobb, Deputy City Manager Jeff Jenkins Assistant City Manager Tom Yantis, along with several other city officials and family members.
