Local students will have animals to be adopted next next month.
The National Honor Society chapter of Legacy Early College High School is sponsoring a pet adoption event April 2 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Heritage Square Farmers Market.
There will be adoptable pets available from the City of Taylor Animal Shelter, including dogs and cats. Donations of wet and dry dog, cat and kitten food, as well as nonclumping cat litter, can be dropped off at this event as well.
Dog adoption fees are $80. Cat adoptions are $40, which include spay and neuter, rabies vaccination and a microchip.
