Job fair set for July 27

Need a job or a better one? Need employees? The Taylor Chamber of Commerce has a way to help.

The Chamber, in collaboration with the city and Texas Workforce Solutions, will host a hiring fair Saturday, July 27, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Taylor Public Library, 801 Vance St.

The event will feature area employees seeking candidates for current job openings.

Employer booths are free and limited. All employers interested in attending can register through the Chamber by calling 512-3526364 or emailing [email protected] “Employers look to us to connect them to qualified talent and job fairs have proven to do just that,” said Tia Rae Stone, President and C.E.O. of the Chamber. “When employers come to this event, they are not just coming to meet and greet, they have open positions that they need to fill, and that’s what this job fair is all about.”

Job seekers who attend the job fair will get an opportunity to speak with prospective employers and gather information directly from representatives in health care, architecture, non-profit, government, manufacturing and a variety of other industry sectors. Jobs range from entry level to professional.

Individuals attending the fair in hopes of securing employment should come professionally dressed with copies of their current resume or job history.

This event is free for everyone and open to all businesses, not just Chamber members.
