Say “I love you” often

GOOD NEWS

I love you.

You may be thinking “You don’t even know me.”

But if people can hate for no reason, I can love.

That’s what I choose.

So a friend asked, “Why do you say you love me so often?”

I replied, “Because I appreciate you so much that there is no other word that covers it.”

Then she asked, “Buy why so often?”

I replied, “Because I never want to regret not saying it; but I’ll stop if you wish.”

“No. That’s OK. Just wanted to know,” she replied.

You never know what life will bring. So while you can, tell those you love that you love them; even if you both live another 50 years with 10,000 more times to say “I love you.”

—Steven D. Lee

You may think that you are completely insignificant in this world.

But someone drinks coffee every morning from their favorite cup you gave them.

Someone heard a song on the radio that reminded them of you. Someone read the book you recommended. Someone remembered your joke and smiled, returning home from work in the evening. Someone loves themselves a little more, because you gave them a compliment.

Never think that you have no influence whatsoever. Your trace, which you leave behind with even a few good deeds, cannot be erased.

Shoutouts for this week:

“I have to give a shout out to the Flake Bakery. I have been there two times. The last time was this past Saturday, we were fifth in line. We got some bagels, onion cream cheese and a sourdough sandwich loaf. My husband absolutely loved all of it. He told me the bagels were better than Einstein bagels. The bagels reminded me of the hot jumbo bagels that were on west 5th in Austin in the 80s.

They grill up perfectly.

The Sourdough bread is wonderful for toasting with orange marmalade. We will definitely be calling on orders for bagels and possibly one of their quiches. So glad to have this wonderful bakery in Taylor.”
