Parks, Library release summer schedules

School is out, which means the Taylor Parks and Recreation department and the Taylor Public Library are revealing their summer programs.

During June, there will be a movie at the Taylor Public Library at 9:30 to 11 a.m. and soccer at Memorial Field from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Mondays.

Every Tuesday and Thursday in June, the city will offer sports, games, arts and crafts at the Murphy Park Pavilion from 9 to 11 a.m., storytime at the library from 2 to 3:30 p.m. and more fun activities at Robinson Park Splash Pad from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

On Wednesdays, there will be special performances at the library from 10:30 a.m. to noon and free pool swim from noon to 2 p.m. at Murphy Park.

Fridays will consist of parks and rec hosting a popup at the Heritage Square splash pad from 9:30 to 11:30 a. m.

In addition, some special activities include Taylor Youth Football Ducks teaching kids football skills June 4 and June 6 from 9:30 to 11 a.m. and tennis fundamental lessons June 11 and June 13 from 9 to 10:30 a.m.

Taylor also released its adult fitness schedule for June through August, which can be found online.
