TAYLOR POLICE DEPARTMENT ARREST REPORT

It is important to note that an arrest should not be considered as evidence of guilt. The defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

MAY 20

Stephanie Caldwell, 55, of Taylor, at 9:42 a.m., in the 500 block of W. Second St., officers conducted a traffic stop on Caldwell, who had an outstanding class C warrant out of Taylor for expired registration. Caldwell was escorted to the Taylor Municipal Court and released.

MAY 21

Brittany Sarmiento, 29, of Taylor, at 1:21 p.m., at Walmart, 3701 N. Main St., officers responded to a report of a fraudulent return. An investigation revealed Sarmiento selected items totaling over $100 from inside the store and attempted to return the items at customer service without having purchased the items. Sarmiento also had an outstanding warrant out of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice for felon in possession of a firearm. Sarmiento was placed under arrest for the warrant and was further charged with theft of property over $100 with previous convictions, a class B misdemeanor.

MAY 22

Christy Androh, 43, of Taylor, at 6:57 a.m., at Taylor Police Department, 500 S. Main St., Androh turned herself in on an outstanding warrant out of Taylor (assault with injury, a class A misdemeanor.)

Freddie Garza, 32, of Taylor, at 7:09 p.m., in the 1000 block of N. Main St., officers responded to a report of a burglary in progress. Officers located Garza with a small prybar and a container with over $100 worth of quarters that had been removed from multiple coin holders on machines that had been pried open. Garza told officers they caught him “redhanded.” Garza was placed under arrest and charged with burglary of coin operated machine, a class A misdemeanor.

MAY 24-- Elvira Hernandes-Aguilar, 34, of Taylor, at 4:40 p.m., in the 400 block of E. Rio Grande St., officers made contact with Hernandes-Aguilar, who was found to be in possession of methamphetamine. Hernandes-Aguilar was placed under arrest and charged with possession of controlled substance, penalty group 1 over 1 gram, a third-degree felony.

Bernard Keating, 68, of Taylor, at 9:42 p.m., in the 5000 block of N.

Main St., officers placed Keating under arrest, charging him with driving while intoxicated, with open container, a class B misdemeanor.

May 26 Ethan Stiba-Gonzales, 18, of Taylor, at 12:19 p.m., in the 1200 block of W. Seventh St., officers apprehended Stiba-Gonzales, who had an outstanding warrant out of Hutto for burglary of a vehicle, a class A misdemeanor.
