Some of Taylor High School’s top varsity athletes committed to play their respective sports at the next level.
The campus held a signing day for spring athletes signing a letter of intent to compete at the next level Wednesday, May 15, in the gymnasium. They join a handful of other seniors who have already done the same, which Athletics Director Earven Flowers appreciates.
“We are proud of our student-athletes as they get a chance to further their athletic careers through academics,” Flowers said. “To see 12 kids, 13 by next week, make their dreams come true is amazing. I am so happy for our kids and their families.”
Asia Zachary signed with Mountain View College for basketball, Oscar Gonzalez Jr. signed with Huston Tillotson for soccer, Dominic Hartman signed with the United States Baseball Academy for baseball and Alejandro Randle signed with Howard Payne University for football.
Flowers said each athlete’s coach gave remarks about the player’s accomplishments as a Duck.
