Leisha Dowers is a local baker. She studied pastry in Kyiv

Her eyes light up when she talks about her studies and the beautiful people she met.

“I don’t know what to do, but it’s not going to be nothing,” said said. “As a start, from now until the end of March, at least, every dollar that comes in to Flake Bakery will be going to vetted charities working towards humanitarian aid for Ukrainians. We’re donating the ingredient costs, labor, and all tips, so you can be sure that every dollar you spend is the amount donated.”
