HUTTO – Last week, Howard Norman Elementary School (HNES) hosted Hutto ISD graduate Noah Goertz.

Goertz is a Lance Corporal, which is a military rank, used by many armed forces worldwide, and also by some police forces and other uniformed organizations. It is below the rank of corporal, and is typically the lowest non-commissioned officer, usually equivalent to the NATO Rank Grade OR3.

Goertz is home on leave and wanted to thank HNES students for sending military postcards to him and his fellow Marines. The son of Chris Goertz and HNES librarian, Charlotte Goertz gave students the opportunity to ask questions and hear what it means to be a Marine.

Hippo Nation thanks LCpl Goertz for his service and his time spent with HNES students.

Hutto ISD graduate Noah Goertz (middle) was welcomed to the Howard Norman Elementary School library by his parents Chris and Charlotte Goretz.
