The first annual Williamson County Horse Course will be Tuesday, March 29, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Williamson County AgriLife Extension Office, 100 Wilco Way, Room AG205, in Georgetown.
This program will address several important horse health topics, including:
• nutritional needs for a happy healthy horse;
• effective deworming strategies;
• vaccination protocols; and
• forage and pasture management.
Featuring special guest speakers from Texas A&M:
• Jessica Leatherwood, A&M associate professor, animal science; and
• Jennifer Zoller, A&M AgriLife assistant professor and extension horse specialist;
We are offering two general continuing education units for those needing to meet TDA recertification requirements. The cost is $25 per person and you can register online at: http://www.williamson.agrilife.org. Light refreshments will be provided.
