Taylor track closes season

BULLARD — Taylor High School’s track and field season came to an end this past weekend.

The Taylor Ducks and Lady Ducks brought a few athletes to take part of the 4A Region 3 track and field championship meet hosted by Bullard High School Friday, April 19 and Saturday, April 20.

The meet concludes a season that saw the team win three individual district championships for the boys and two individual district championships for the girls.

Taylor Ducks

4th - Syris Corley in the shot put with a mark of 49 feet and 4.25 inches. 14th - Andrias Fisher in long jump with a mark of 20 feet and 4.25 inches. 14th - Ethan Flagg, Jackson Meller, Josh Mikulencak and Treos Richardson in the 4x200-meter relay with a time of 1:31.65.

Taylor Lady Ducks 8th - Asia Zachary advanced to the finals in the 200meter dash with a personal record time of 25.99. 10th - Zari Thompson in the 800-meter run with a personal record time of 2:29.16. 11th - Camryn Nunamaker in the shot put with a mark of 32 feet and 4.5 inches. 11th - Asia Zachary in the high jump with a mark of four feet and 10 inches.
