MARLIN — The Granger High School varsity softball team concluded its 2024 season on a high note Monday, April 15 as the Lady Lions won a lopsided 18-0 district finale against Chilton High School at neutral site Marlin.
The Lady Lions made quick work of the Lady Pirates with 13 runs in the top of the first inning, three more runs in the second frame and scored twice in the third inning.
Granger senior Payton Filla led the way for the Lady Lions as she was 3-for-4 at the plate with a team-high four runs batted in.
She also cruised in the circle as Filla pitched three innings with seven strikeouts, only one hit allowed, one walk issued and zero runs given up.
