The booksellers of Taylor welcome three noted Texas authors to town for the first-ever Taylor Indie Bookstore Day Tour Saturday, April 27, at the Kincl House of Antiques, 200 W. Second, to bring to life stories from their Texas historical books.
The event is hosted by Ann-Tiques Collector Bookstore, Curio Mrvosa, Eccentricities and Libros Bookshop, all local book stores.
At 10 a.m., Tweed Scott will tell the story of writing his three-time national award-winning book, “Texas in Her Own Words.”
At noon, Mike Cox will present his highly-acclaimed two-volume history of the Texas Rangers, “Wearing the Cinco Peso” and “Time of the Rangers” (Tor/Forge, 2008, 2009). At 2 p.m., Phil Harris has stories of “factual, fantastic and fun Texas history” from The Sons of the Republic of Texas’ book, “Legacy Comes to Life,” coauthored by Ron Sutton.
The programs are free and open to the public, and the authors will have copies of their books for purchase and signing.
Taylor’s booksellers invite everyone to tour them on Taylor Indie Bookstore Day for a variety of genres, new selections, specials and a free gift.
