HUTTO — Two people have been arrested in the shots fired incidents, which had been reported by residents in March.
Gunshots were reported to police several times in March, with the latest being in the 100 block of Liard River Road March 25.
No reports of injuries were made and the Police Department said at the time it appeared to be isolated incidents.
On April 2, the city reported that a person was arrested by Hutto Police Department and another person was arrested by the Gonzales County Sheriff’s Department for different gunfire incidents in Hutto.
“Such occurrences in Hutto are rare and understandably concerning, but the Hutto Police Department takes each incident seriously. While these incidents may appear similar in nature, a thorough investigation by the Hutto Police Department Criminal Investigations Division confirmed that the incidents were entirely isolated and unrelated,” read a statement by the city.
No additional information was available as of press time.
“Unfortunately, the delicate nature of ongoing investigations can severely restrict the sharing of many details, and seemingly harmless details, if revealed, could jeopardize the swift resolution of such cases.
When we express that an incident is isolated and is no threat to the public, it is not a generalization but an accurate statement based on the investigative facts known to police officers and investigators at the time,” the city reported.
