The Taylor High School girls varsity soccer team was honored with numerous players for the Lady Patos named as 4A-District 24 all-district selections.
Taylor sophomore Avery Paulsen was selected as the Midfielder of the Year winner, while Kaitlin Crane received the honor of Freshman of the Year.
First-team all-district selections for the Lady Patos were senior Paige Patschke, junior Taryn Silverthorn, sophomore Peyton Wamble and fellow sophomore Tessa Kopecky.
Second-team all-district picks for Taylor were junior Zari Thompson, junior Justice Johnson, freshman Analisa Arredondo and freshman Kaylie Chavez.
All-district honorable mentions for the Lady Patos included senior Leandra Aleman, senior Denise Gonzalez and junior Alex Rebollar-Cruz.
Taylor, under Head Coach Jose Flores, finished with a 15-10 overall record and a 9-3 mark as the runner-up in district play. The Lady Patos captured a thrilling 2-1 bi-district championship win over Robinson High School and were eliminated from the 4A playoffs with a 4-0 loss to a strong Needville High School squad.
