WACO — The Hutto High School boys and girls varsity track and field teams competed April 3-4 at the 6A-District 12 meet hosted by Midway High School.
HUTTO HIPPOS
3rd - Zachary Hicks in the triple jump with a mark of 44 feet nine inches.
3rd - Preston Huneycut in the discus with a mark of 141 feet four inches.
4th - Alex Green in the 100-meter dash with a time of 10.90 seconds.
4th - Devin McMarion in the 400-meter dash with a time of 50.45 seconds.
5th - Zachary Hicks in the long jump with a mark of 20 feet 10.5 inches.
5th - Alex Green in the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.67 seconds.
6th - Jayden Lopez in the long jump with a mark of 20 feet nine inches.
6th - Steven Galindo, Abijah Pitt, Zachary Hicks and Dennis Benavides Johnson in the 4x200-meter relay with a time of 1:32.87.
HUTTO LADY HIPPOS
1st - Jenna Magana in the pole vault with a mark of nine feet six inches.
2nd - Axelle Fenou Youbi in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 15.47 seconds.
2nd - Axelle Fenou Youbi in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 47.45 seconds.
3rd - Arielle Youbi Tchinda in the long jump with a mark of 17 feet 8.5 inches.
4th - Jaylae Sims, Arielle Youbi Tchinda, Aaliyah McPeak Castille and Aniah Tijerina in the 4x200-meter relay with a time of 1:43.97.
4th - Adia Majtyka in the 3,200-meter run with a time of 12:41.57.
5th - Aniah Tijerina in the long jump with a mark of 17 feet four inches.
5th - Jaylae Sims, Arielle Youbi Tchinda, Aniah Tijerina and Aaliyah McPeak Castille in the 4x100-meter relay with a time of 49.28 seconds.
6th - Adia Majtyka in the 1,600-meter run with a time of 5:45.00.
The Hippos and Lady Hippos will next compete Thursday, April 11 at the area championship meet held at Midway.
