Area athletes compete at Texas Relay

AUSTIN — Thrall High School and Granger High School girls track and field had their relay teams compete March 29-30 at the Texas Relays at Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin against top competition from Texas and other states.

THRALL TIGERETTES

29th of 80 - Avery Koonce, Kassandra Jackson, Melaina Grissom and Nevaeh Irvin in the girls 4x100-meter relay with a time of 50.55 seconds.

29th of 36 - Avery Koonce in the 100meter dash with a time of 12.53 seconds.

GRANGER LADY LIONS

59th of 68 Brooklyn Gaswint, Montana Moore, Carli Cadena and Jasmine Leamer in the girls 4x400-meter relay with a time of 4:32.99.

70th of 80 - Marissa Hall, Jasmine Leamer, Montana Moore and Brooklyn Gaswint in the girls 4x100-meter relay with a time of 54.05 seconds.

Thrall and Granger will next compete beginning Wednesday, April 3 at the 2A-District 27 meet hosted by Holland High School.
