Taylor residents have multiple opportunities to participate in an egg-citing Easter weekend tradition.
There will be two local Easter egg hunts for children to search for eggs and leave with prizes.
Easter egg hunts are often associated with the holiday and involve children searching for plastic eggs that each contain a desired item.
On Saturday, the city of Taylor is hosting its Easter Egg Hunt at 10 a.m. at Memorial Field, 1213 Davis St.
According to the event’s flier, there will be face painting, games, snow cones, hot dogs and an appearance by the Easter Bunny.
On Sunday, the Braided Faded Crew is hosting its 10th annual Easter Hood Hunt at 3 p.m. in Fannie Robinson Park, 206 S. Dolan St.
The event will last until 5 p.m., according to the event’s flier.
There will be free food, fun games, bounce houses and piñatas.
In previous years, the Easter Hood Hunt traditionally had five different hunts. The hunts usually are separated by age categories and end with the mega hunt, which includes all ages, including adults.
Each hunt typically features money eggs and vouchers for braids and haircuts in each hunt, except for the baby hunt.
