Thrall golf teams win district

The Thrall High School boys and girls varsity golf teams both won 2A-District 27 championships Monday, March 25 as the Tigers and Tigerettes competed at Mustang Creek Golf Course in Taylor. Teams who competed were Thrall, Bartlett High School, Granger High School, Hearne High School, Holland High School, Milano High School and Thorndale High School.

THRALL TIGERS

The Tigers were represented by Carter Bradford, Asa Gibbs, Anthony Sandoval, Maverick McAllister, Tyler Shaw and Hayden Shuttles as the group placed first as a team. Shuttles led the way for Thrall as he took home a first-place finish in the individual standings.

THRALL TIGERETTES

The Tigerettes were represented by Maddie Morris, Molly Fisher, Kinley Hoffman, Lillie O’Neal, Bree Burlison, Brenna Tucek and Ashlie Kiel. Burlison led the way for Thrall as she was a first-place finisher in the individual standings with Tucek behind her in second place.

The Thrall golf teams will next compete April 15-16 at the Class 2A Region 4 tournament held at Lozano Golf Center in Corpus Christi.
