Third Thursday
Every third Thursday of each month, Taylor’s downtown businesses will be open past 5 until 8 p.m. and offer in-store specials, live music, door prizes and other activities. The event is designed to encourage residents to shop locally and become familiar with the shops in the downtown area.
COVID-19 & Flu Vaccines
The Williamson County and Cities Health District will have a walk-in clinic for COVID-19 and flu vaccinations every Tuesday from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. The Taylor building is located at 115 W. 6th St., one block from Main Street north of downtown Taylor. Tax Assistance
The Taylor Public Library, 801 Vance St., is hosting two tax assistance programs free of charge.
VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) will be on Saturdays from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. VITA takes walk-ins only. No reservations required.
AARP Tax Assistance will be available Wednesdays noon to 4 p.m., but online reservations are required for this service.

Citizen Academy in Spanish
March 3-31 — The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office will conduct a Spanish session of its Citizen Academy. Members of the Spanish-speaking community are invited to join them and learn more the operations of our agency. Interactive ‘Toy Story’
Monday, March 14 — The movie “Toy Story” will be shown at 2 p.m. at the Taylor Public Library in a unique way. Children will have an interactive experience with props and actions throughout the movie.

Cardboard Kingdom
Tuesday, March 15 — Ever wanted to build a castle out of cardboard? Now you can at this 10:30 a.m. family activity at the Taylor Public Library during spring break.

Maker Fair
Wednesday, March 16 — Scissors, tape, glue, oh my! Go and craft up a storm with at the Taylor Public Library at the Preschool and Elementary Maker Fair. They will have beginning at 10:30 a.m.

Car show, food, & more
Saturday, March 19 — Beginning at 8 a.m., there will be a lot at Memorial Stadium, 1312 Davis St. in Taylor, in prep for that evening’s CTX Yellow Jackets semipro football game. Vendors will be hand through 2 p.m., along with funnel cakes, raffles, a cake walk and more. There will also be a fish fry, which is detailed in the next calendar entry. The G21 Car Show and Slingshot bikes will be parked to be admired from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and the football game will kick off at 6 p.m.

Wednesday, March 23 — The Green Thumbs Up Gardening Program is free and open to the public. The event will be at the Brushy Creek Community Center, Oak Room, 16318 Great Oaks Dr. in Round Rock, from noon to 1 p.m.
