GRANGER — The Granger High School boys varsity basketball team announced 2A-District 27 all-district selections this week with several Lions being honored.
Lions standout senior Trae Herrera was named to the all-district first team after he led Granger with consistent double-digit scoring outings throughout the year.
Granger junior Isaac Campos was named second-team all-district, while sophomore Kael Jackson also was a second-team selection following a solid season of his own for the Lions.
Named as all-district honorable mentions was the Granger sophomore trio of Wyatt Rochner, Caleb Tucker and Kye Welles. Academic all-district award winners for the Lions were Rochner and Tucker.
Under Head Coach Chaston Kubacak, Granger finished with a 13-13 overall record and just missed out on making the playoffs with a 4-8 record in district play. The Lions finished the 2023-24 season on a very high note Feb. 13 with a dominant 69-38 victory on the road at Milano High School.
