CALDWELL — The Taylor High School boys varsity soccer team concluded 4A-District 24 play Friday, March 8 as Los Patos had three unanswered goals in their 3-1 victory at Caldwell High School.

Down 1-0 in the first half, Los Patos got their equalizer from senior Jose Romero as he scored and was assisted by fellow senior Oscar González to tie it 1-1 before halftime.

In the second half, Taylor pulled away from the host Hornets as Los Patos got goals from junior Vincent Aguilar and González to put the match out of reach.

Taylor, under Head Coach Greyson Wooten, is currently 11-8 overall and finished district play with a 9-3 record as the No. 2 seed heading into the bidistrict round of the playoffs.

“As always, thank you to our fans,” Wooten said. “Your support plays an integral part in our success and we appreciate you all.”

Los Patos await their upcoming playoff matchup with their opponent and match details are still to be determined.
