Five senior varsity basketball players from Taylor High School and Hutto High School were selected to play in the upcoming Central Texas High School All-Star Games hosted by the Austin Spurs at the H-E-B Center in Cedar Park.
ZACHARY HICKS
Hutto senior Zachary Hicks was a second-team all-district selection for the Hippos and averaged double-figure scoring during the 2023-24 season with 10.4 points, 6.6 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 2.0 steals and 1.1 blocks per game.
TREOS RICHARDSON
Taylor senior Treos Richardson was a first team all-district selection and had 560 points, 211 rebounds, 75 assists, 54 steals and 48 blocked shots during his final season in a Ducks uniform.
ASIA ZACHARY
Taylor senior Asia Zachary was selected as the 2023-24 District Offensive Most Valuable Player and averaged 13.9 points, 6.9 rebounds, 4.8 steals and 1.9 assists per game for the Lady Ducks.
ANSLEY REED
Taylor senior Ansley Reed, an East Texas Baptist University women’s basketball commit, was a 2023-24 first-team all-district selection for the Lady Ducks and averaged 8.8 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.7 steals and 1.9 assists per contest.
ALYSSA BATTON
Hutto senior Alyssa Batton, a University of Arkansas at Monticello women’s basketball commit, was a first-team all-district selection for the Lady Hippos and averaged 11.5 points, 4.9 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game during the 2023-24 season.
The girls’ all-star game is scheduled for March 14 at 12:30 p.m. with the boy’s game at 1:45 p.m. immediately afterward.
