HUTTO — The Hutto High School boys varsity soccer team picked up a much-needed 6A-District 12 victory Friday, March 1 at home as the Hippos shut out Temple High School by a score of 4-0.
Hippos sophomore Carlos Sorto led the way for Hutto on offense as he scored two goals against the Wildcats.
Hutto senior Cristian De La Torre added a score of his own, while junior Jacob Bell had one goal and one assist on the night.
Behind a strong defensive team effort all evening, the Hippos got a clean slate from sophomore goalkeeper Matias Aguilar for a shutout victory.
The Hippos (5-3-6 overall, 3-2-4 district record), under Head Coach Joshua Johnson, were scheduled March 5 for a district road match at Copperas Cove High School.
