GRANGER — The Granger High School girls varsity basketball team had plenty of players named to the 2A-District 27 all-district squad.
First-team selections for the Lady Lions were senior Montana Moore and junior Marissa Hall, while senior Destiny Cotten and junior Sofia Bernal were secondteam award winners.
Honorable mentions for Granger were senior Clarissa Miller, junior Ashley Lopez, junior Alizea Lopez, sophomore Victoria Castillo, sophomore Abigail Crouch and sophomore Alexi Montagnino.
Academic all-district award winners for the Lady Lions were Cotten, Miller, Hall, Castillo, Montagnino, junior Kelsey Dittrich and freshman Brooklyn Gaswint.
Granger (11-24, 7-7 in district play), under Head Coach Kendall Cotten, made a surge down the stretch of district play to get the No. 3 playoff seed and got into the postseason for the second straight year.
