THRALL — A historic season for Thrall High School girls basketball had plenty of Tigerettes who made the 2A-District 27 all-district team.
Tigerettes standout senior Ashlyn Jarosek, an East Texas Baptist University commit for women’s college basketball, was unanimously named the all-district Most Valuable Player.
First-team selections for Thrall was the sophomore trio of Kinley Hoffman. Nevaeh Irvin and Cece Walker with fellow sophomore Avery Ochoa named as a second team award winner.
Honorable mentions for the Tigerettes included junior Briana Jarosek, junior Sarah Laurence, sophomore Brynn Leschber and sophomore Riley Luton.
Academic all-district award winners included Ashlyn Jarosek, Hoffman, Walker, Ochoa, Laurence, Leschber, Luton and junior Trinity Roberson.
Thrall (22-13 overall record), under Head Coach Cynthia Walker, had a perfect 12-0 district record that saw the Tigerettes reach the 2A regional quarterfinals.
