Student council marks February holidays

The month of February was not just filled with love at Thrall High School, it was filled with respect, admiration and dreams. The Thrall Student Council celebrated Black History Month by creating a poster in honor of Martin Luther King Jr.’s “I Have a Dream” speech.

The month of February was not just filled with love at Thrall High School, it was filled with respect, admiration and dreams.

The Thrall Student Council celebrated Black History Month by creating a poster in honor of Martin Luther King Jr.’s “I Have a Dream” speech. Students wrote their dream on a piece of paper and were photographed holding it. The photos were pasted on to the poster and displayed in the main hallway of Thrall High School. A notable dream was “to make the world a cleaner place.”

Thrall High School students continued with their creativity to celebrate Valentine’s Day. Students made 140 handmade cards with colorful paper and festive stickers. They were hand delivered to the nursing home in Taylor with hopes of bringing a smile to the residents.

With spring just around the corner, Student Council members are planning more festivities and opportunities for students to express creativity.
