The Taylor High School boys and girls varsity soccer programs each had a big night Tuesday, Feb. 13 as Los Patos and Lady Patos crushed Caldwell High School in their respective home district matches.
TAYLOR LOS PATOS 5, CALDWELL HORNETS 0
Los Patos were in complete control against Caldwell as Taylor continued to take care of business during 4A-District 24 play with a 5-0 shutout win over the Hornets.
Taylor was led by senior Oscar González with two goals, fellow senior Jaime Martinez with one score, junior Vincent Aguilar with one goal and junior Walter Calvac with one score of his own.
Assisting on goals for Los Patos were González, Aguilar, senior Aiden Crane and junior Miguel Morales.
Taylor (7-6 overall, 5-1 district record) under Head Coach Greyson Wooten remains at home Tuesday, Feb. 20 at 5:30 p.m. versus rival Rockdale High School.

In yet another dominant effort Tuesday evening, the Lady Patos put together an all-around team performance with a 5-0 victory against the Lady Hornets.
Lady Patos junior Kaleigh Woods helped lead the way with two goals, while the freshman duo of Kaitlin Crane and Kaylie Chavez added two scores and one goal, respectively, in the blowout win over Caldwell.
Assisting on goals for Taylor were Crane, sophomore Peyton Wamble and freshman Analisa Arredondo.
Taylor (10-6 overall, 5-1 district record) under Head Coach Jose Flores will next be in action Tuesday, Feb. 20 at 7:30 p.m. hosting the rival Lady Tigers of Rockdale.
