Following a 51-45 win the previous night over Thorndale High School that clinched the Lady Lions a postseason berth, Granger was locked in Feb. 9 to play for the No. 3 seed out of 2A-District 27 and needed to get through the Lassies of Bartlett High School.

Despite losing two close games in the first two meetings between the rival schools, Granger got the best of Bartlett this time in the seeding game with a convincing 59-40 victory at neutral site Thrall High School.

Lady Lions senior Montana Moore could not be stopped by the Lassies as she went off for a gamehigh 28 points, two rebounds, two assists and one steal. Granger junior Marissa Hall nearly had a triple-double against Bartlett as she had nine points, 10 rebounds, nine assists and five steals.

In the loss, Granger senior Destiny Cotten scored in double figures with 11 points, junior Sofia Bernal had nine points, Moore added seven points and senior Clarissa Miller scored seven points of her own.
