The Taylor High School boys varsity soccer team continued its stretch of strong play Tuesday, Jan. 30 with a lopsided 4-0 district victory at home versus Smithville High School.
Los Patos got on the board with two first-half goals from senior Oscar González and senior Jose Romero, while junior Walter Calvac and junior Vincent Aguilar added the second-half scores. González also had two assists in the match victory against the Tigers, while senior Aiden Crane and junior Edgar Villarruel assisted on the other two goals.
Taylor (4-5 overall, 2-0 district record) under Head Coach Greyson Wooten is now on a four-match win streak and has outscored its opponents 11-0 during that span. Los Patos are scheduled Feb. 2 to travel to Giddings High School and will remain on the road Tuesday, Feb. 6 at 7:15 p.m. for another district match against La Grange High School.
