WARRENSBURG, Mo. — Taylor High School varsity football senior wide receiver Treos Richardson announced earlier this week his commitment to continue his career as a standout student-athlete at the University of Central Missouri for the Mules football program.
“First of all, I would like to say all glory to God,” Richardson said.
“I am very appreciative and blessed for a team that has trusted me after knowing I was only able to play 2 games due to injury. It’s always been a dream to play at the collegiate level of any sport. Thank you to the Taylor Ducks coach staff, community, and everyone else who has supported me the whole way.”
During the Ducks’ 2023 regular-season opener at Gatesville, he caught a 46-yard touchdown pass from fellow senior quarterback Joshua Mikulencak but suffered a collarbone injury on the play that caused him to miss the next nine games.
However, Richardson returned for Taylor’s 4A-1 bi-district playoff game and hauled in a 17-yard touchdown reception.
Richardson, who is also a star basketball player with the Ducks, will bring his talent to UCM to a strong Mules football program in NCAA Division 2 that finished with an 11-2 record this past 2023 season.
