Property tax deadline Wednesday

Residents must pay their property taxes by the end of the month.

Williamson County Tax Assessor/Collector Larry Gaddes said 2023 property taxes must be paid in full by Wednesday, Jan. 31 to avoid the accrual of penalty and interest.

Gaddes said most common payment options include mailed payments to 904 S. Main St., Georgetown, TX, 78626, placing checks in the dropbox at any of the tax offices or paying online.

The county encourages residents to pay before the deadline to avoid the rush.

“Placing payments in a USPS post office box does not guarantee a postmark for that day, and using a bank’s online bill pay could delay payment, which could result in additional penalties and interest,” a county press release said.

Taylor residents can pay locally at the in-town tax office at 412 Vance St, Suite 1. The office is open from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Mondays.

It’s open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday.
