A touch of kindness

GOOD NEWS

“I left my wallet at home, but did not realize it until I went to pay at H-E-B. The nicest man stepped in and paid for me. The cost was $45, what a kind person.

Thank you, so much sir.”

“I just wanted to tell y’all about a little store in Taylor. Two of the sweetest and nicest, kindest people own it. It is called Curio Mrvosa. It is right downtown and I want to purchase every single book in there!

These are my people, my tribe. Super awesome music too. I could have spent the whole entire day in there just browsing books and listening to super cool music, but I have so much more to do today, but I will be back. These books are treasures and books that I have probably been looking for my entire life whether I knew I was looking for them or not.

Like they speak to me.

Cute little shop.

Super nice people too, because I took forever and a day to go pick up a book that they were holding for me, and then I found about 5,000 more that I wanted but I settled for two. I will go back every week and buy a couple of books at a time until I have purchased them all so hurry up and get there before I do. But seriously, this is a really cool shop and you should check it out.”

“Yesterday, I adopted the oldest, sickest and sorest shelter dog. I’ll never forget his eyes.

When I went into the cage he didn’t even bother to look, he knew I wouldn’t even see him.

Curling around the corner he’d accepted his fate. The volunteer said to me many times, “Are you sure this one? Are you sure?”

Yes, this is my dog.

He opened the cage and three animals fell on me. I ran towards him, suddenly he looked at me as if he saw an angel. I hugged him and told him that now he’ll be happy again. Then he sleeps in my lap, probably the first peaceful sleep he ever had.

Give it a life. Give it a hug. They need us.”
