Allyne Edna Marx Johle

Allyne Edna Marx Johle was born May 18, 1934, to Richard and Lena Marx in Thorndale. Allyne passed away Jan. 10, 2024, at home.

Allyne was raised in the Thorndale area and went to Thrall Schools. Allyne married Melvin Johle Nov. 27, 1955, in Trinity Lutheran church where she is a member. There were four children united in this union, Vernon, Penny, Vicki and Brian.

Allyne started her job at Thrall Independent School District Sept. 6, 1972, and retired May 22, 1996. She enjoyed working for the school and took pride in her job. She also worked at Loco Amigos restaurant in Thrall.

Mom enjoyed cooking, gardening, sewing, canning and making quilts.

On May 28, 1990, Allyne’s only grandchild was born, Aaron Johle, and was the love of her life. She enjoyed watching football and racecar driving with Aaron.

They spent many hours together.

Allyne was preceded in death by her parents, husband Melvin; sister and brother-in-law, Lorine and Ralph McCloud; mother and father-in-law James and Lydia Johle; brother-in-law and sisterin- law, Dan and Violet Knox; daughter, Penny Johle; daughter-in-law, Sherry Johle; and uncle, Clarence Marx.

Allyne is survived by her son and daughter-inlaw, Vernon and Esther Johle; daughter, Vicki Johle; son, Brian Johle; and grandson, Aaron Johle. She is also survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Leroy and Velma Marx; brother-inlaw, Calvin Johle; aunt, Helen Marx; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Allyne will be dearly missed by her family.

A visitation for Allyne will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 23, at Condra Funeral Home in Taylor.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, Jan. 24, at 2 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Taylor.

Allyne will be laid to rest in Taylor City Cemetery.
