Taylor Police Department is actively investigating a hitand- run incident that took place last weekend.
A pedestrian was struck by a pickup truck Saturday, Dec. 23 in front of the McDonald’s at 2500 N Main St, Taylor PD said. The vehicle fled the scene.
Commander Joseph Branson said the pedestrian was left with “serious bodily injuries” that are not believed to be life-threatening.
There is a primary suspect in the case, he said. The vehicle believed to be the same pickup truck involved in the incident was impounded as evidence.
The suspect is not believed by police to have been driving while under the influence at the time of the hit-andrun.
The case is being reviewed by the Williamson County District Attorney’s Office and an arrest could be made as soon as early next week.
