Taylor Police are investigating a collision that resulted in the death of a man Thursday, Dec. 14 in the 5000 block of State Highway 95, at the intersection of Chandler Road.
Police received a call reporting the collision at 3:15 p.m., according to Taylor PD officials.
Officials said the preliminary investigation revealed that a 2005 Honda motorcycle, driven by Travis Damon Britton, 44, of Taylor was travelling south in the 5000 block of SH 95, where he struck a 2000 Chevrolet pickup truck driven by Walter Jero Jr., 80, of Hutto.
Jero had been travelling north on SH 95 and was making a left turn, turning west on Chandler Road when the collision occurred, officials said.
Britton was transported to Seton Williamson County Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
Taylor PD said the investigation into this fatal collision continues.
This is the third fatal collision in Taylor for this year.
