If parents of young children need to find something for their kids to do during spring break, the Taylor Public Library has a few options.
On Monday, March 14, the movie “Toy Story” will be shown at 2 p.m. in a unique way. Children will have an interactive experience with props and actions throughout the movie.
Every time the character Woody appears on screen, children can make their cowboy doll reach for the sky. When “You’ve Got a Friend In Me” plays, you sing along. During the Andy’s party scene, you wave your streamers. Attendees are encouraged to come in dress-up clothes and bring their favorite toy to watch the movie with them.
There will also be events Tuesday and Wednesday, March 15-16. On Tuesday, families will have an opportunity to build a castle out of cardboard. Wednesday will be the Preschool and Elementary Maker Fair, which will include a variety of projects.
The library is located at 801 Vance St. in Taylor. Advance registration is required for each event. To register, call 512-352-3434.
