“I started to ask my 12-year-old son, ‘Who did you help today?’ instead of asking, ‘How was school?’
Now he starts his stories with, ‘I held the door,’ ‘Helped a friend with math’ or ‘Asked someone to sit with us at lunch.’ Now he proactively shares how he was helpful at school.”
– Vala Afshar Who did you help today? The day is young, you can still do it. Doing something that helps you counts as well.
What if we spend the coming week with helping each other? Let’s make it a challenge.
Starting today, every day of the week, help someone. It can be as simple as spending time with someone, listening to someone, help loading groceries, checking on a neighbor, a sick or elderly person, sharing a meal with someone or buying a coffee for someone.
There are so many ways how we can help. I would love for you to share how you have helped and how you have been helped. Your story will help to inspire others. You can either send them to Taylor Press attn: Good News, 211 W. Third Street, Taylor, TX 76574, or post to the Good News Taylor Made Facebook page.
Always remember there is goodness everywhere and kindness matters.
